The ASHRAE Hawaii Chapter is pleased to welcome Joshua McDonough as Chapter Programs Chair. Joshua previously served in this role during the 2019–2020 chapter year and again from 2022–2025, bringing valuable experience and leadership to the position.
As Chapter Programs Chair, Joshua is committed to delivering engaging and relevant programs that provide value to members across the HVAC&R industry. His focus is centered on supporting John Fuller’s presidential initiative emphasizing sustainability, energy efficiency, and the advancement of innovative building solutions. Through thoughtfully planned technical sessions, networking opportunities, and educational programming, Joshua aims to continue fostering professional growth and industry collaboration within the Hawaii Chapter.

Mark your calendars, the 2014 Technical Seminar event is set! We have reserved the Hawaii Prince Hotel Waikiki for May 16, 2014. The seminar theme is Designing Buildings in Hot and Humid Climates. We are planning a great lineup of interesting topics and speakers for you, including industry experts and the current ASHRAE President.

The seminar will be from 8:00 am until 4:00 pm in the Halekala/Kilauea Banquet room. Lunch will be buffet style at the hotel’s Prince Court Buffet. If you haven’t tried this buffet yet, I highly recommend it. The Prince Court Buffet is one of my favorites. The technical seminar will be followed by a cocktail reception in the Marina Front Lounge (Hawaii Prince 1st floor), which gives you the opportunity to mingle with the presenters, ASHRAE members, and guests.
